Explore Within—A 4-Week Guided Journalling Series

CLOSED FOR REGISTRATION

September 19—October 10, 2021
Sundays at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK

A four-week series of guided journalling sessions where you will individually explore your inner world on the page, while you are in the (virtual) company of others. You don’t have to share with the group. The intention is to take some time for yourself, go through prompts that might help you deepen your self-awareness, and see where + how you are right now. Who knows what you could discover, when you commit to being honest with yourself… :)

What’s Included?

  • 4 x 1-hour Sessions

Every Sunday for four weeks, you will be invited to join the group for a 60-minute guided journalling session held on Zoom. You can come to as many as would feel supportive for you in your life right now. (And you can choose to keep your video off, if that feels good too.)

  • New Prompts Each Week

Each week, we will take time to go through 8-10 journal prompts together. They will always be new, so you will finish with 32-40 prompts you can use again in the future.

  • "You" Time (with Others)

The main reason I wanted to create this offering: to hold space for you. It’s not always easy to carve out an hour for ourselves. I’m here to hold that space for you, and to create an environment that inspires calm + stillness, so you can be present with yourself.

  • Deepen Your Practice

Whether you are new to journalling, or seasoned in the art of self-reflection, my intention is to share prompts that might help you get to know yourself in new ways.

  • Access to Replays

The day after each of the four sessions, you will receive an email with a replay of the guided session, plus a list of the prompts we used that week. Both options should give you an opportunity to go through the practice on your own time, and in your own way, if you cannot join us live.

  • Beautiful PDF (at the end)

After our final session in October, I will send you a PDF filled with all the prompts we used together, designed by the wonderful and talented Amanda Sandlin. :)

Sliding Scale Pricing Options

Inspired by my friend Nicole Antoinette, and a shared commitment to creating offerings that are financially accessible, this 4-week journalling series is available on a sliding scale. The sliding scale pricing options allow each person to consider her/his/their own financial situation and/or class privilege when registering. I trust you to do what’s right for you, always.

Reduced Price—$25 CAD

This price is meant for people who might find registering to be a sacrifice, but it would not create financial hardship. (Note: If you need a full scholarship, please send me an email.) The approx. exchange rate = $20 USD, £15, €17.

Regular Price—$50 CAD

Questions & Answers

What happens after I register?

On Saturday, September 18, I will send you an email with instructions on how to join ALL four of our sessions (the Zoom link + password will remain the same). When it’s time for each session to begin, you can simply click on the Zoom link and you’ll automatically join the group! (Note: I will send the instructions to whichever email address you use to register.)

When are the four sessions?

Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK
Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK
Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK
Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK

What do I need to “bring” to each session?

Anything that will help you feel most supported during our time together! For the writing itself, you might use a physical journal with pen/pencil, or type directly into a word/notes document on your computer/tablet/phone. You might also want to have a beverage with you, and maybe even a comfort item or two (blanket, pillow, etc.). Personally, I like to light a candle when I journal. :)

Do I have to join all four sessions? What happens if I miss one?

No! You can come to as many as you like, or as fit into your life/schedule. If you miss one, remember that I will send you an email every Monday with a replay + the list of prompts we used. Both options should give you an opportunity to go through the practice on your own time, and in your own way, if you cannot join us live.

Do I have to talk and/or turn on my camera?

No and no! When you first join the Zoom meetings, your video will be turned off + you will be muted. If you’re comfortable turning video on, it does add to the “community” feel of the experience, and could help others feel more comfortable too. But everyone (except for me) will stay muted throughout the sessions, with just a quick opportunity to say goodbye at the end.

What can I expect to get out of this series?

I think that all depends on how honest you are with yourself during each session! The thing about journal prompts is that you never know where they are going to lead you. Some weeks might feel as though you’re simply taking stock, and others might surprise you! My personal hope is that you learn something new about yourself by the end. :)

The prices are in Canadian dollars. Can I join/pay if I’m outside of Canada?

Yes, this is open to anyone who wants to join us! I’ve listed approximate exchange rates (for US dollars, British pounds and Euros) with each of the three options, so you have an idea of how much it might cost you to register. (I’m only sorry that I couldn’t pick times that would work for everyone around the world to join live, but the replays/final PDF may still feel like a nice option!)

One quick thing to note is that if you are in Canada, I have to add GST/HST (depending on which province you live in) to the prices you see listed above.
